ACAMEFID® gel

OPHTHALMIC GEL PROVIDES QUICK AND LONG-LASTING RELIEF IN CASE OF EYE IRRITATION

DESCRIPTION

Acamefid® gel is an ophthalmic gel containing Dexpanthenol, a substance which is useful for maintaining hydration of the eye: it is a derivative of vitamin B5 and is an essential component for a normally functioning epithelium. Its properties allow the gel to bind to water, creating a lubricating and moisturizing film on the ocular surface, which prolongs the average tear ¬film break-up time in patients with dry eye syndrome and related conditions.

Furthermore, the formulation contains carbomer, a high molecular weight synthetic polymer, which helps simulate normal tear viscosity.

INDICATION

Acamefid® gel provides quick and long-lasting relief in case of eye irritation, burning, and foreign body sensation caused by environmental factors such as wind, sun, dry air, salty water, smoke, bright lights, air conditioning, heating, prolonged use of digital devices or ocular surgery, conjunctivitis, contact lens wear.
