RIBOLISIN®

OPHTHALMIC SOLUTION INDICATED FOR HYDRATION AND PROTECTION OF THE OCULAR SURFACE FROM PHOTO OXIDATIVE DAMAGE

DESCRIPTION

Ribolisin® is an ophthalmic solution indicated for hydration and protection of the ocular surface from photo oxidative damage. It contains hyaluronic acid sodium salt (FHA 1.0®), Vitamin B2 and amino acids, aimed at restoring tear secretion and tear film physiology. Hyaluronic acid is a mucopolysaccharide physiologically present in the human eye and has the property of adhering to the ocular surface by protecting and lubricating it.

Due to its mucoadhesive properties, it remains on the ocular surface for a long time and stabilises the tear film. On the other side, vitamin B2 offers protection against damage resulting from exposure to UV-A light, both from natural source and from irradiation during surgical treatments as well as from damage due to blue light emitted by screens and visual aids, halogen lamps, monitors and televisions.

The amino acid formulation helps lubricate the surface of the eye and improves the protection of epithelia subject to various kinds of stress. Furthermore, the Ribolisin® free bottle is fitted with an OSD (Ophthalmic Squeeze Dispenser) dropper which, through its multi-layer air filter and tip-seal valve system, ensures that the sterility of the product is maintained without preservatives.
